Govit.com is an interesting new nonpartisan site (still in beta, baby, whatever that is) where you can cast your vote on bills and discuss them with other members who have joined up--kind of a political social networking area. (Maybe they’ll add a nonpartisan dating section.) It’s like an online voting booth, and the various bills are explained sensibly and briefly. You can have your vote sent to your representatives and see if they pay attention to you.

Don’t we all need a 5-year diary? Especially one bound in nubby tweed with a sweet red ribbon to mark the day? I always dream of jotting down the salient info about my day so that I can go back and recapture the sights, sounds and textures at will.
